Ever since starting my sewing journey, I’ve seen so many blog posts and Instagram pictures of the cult classic Ogden Cami by True Bias. It’s easy to understand why this sewing pattern is such a fan favourite – it’s super easy to construct, really doesn’t take long at all to make and can be made with leftover fabric as you only need about 1m of fabric. I really love buying indie sewing patterns at the moment, it feels nice to support small businesses and with indie companies, I find the instructions are super easy to understand!
I made a size 2 which fits really lovely, the only small problem I had is that it fitted a bit too snug under the arms, but if I don’t wear a bra with this it’s fine! I have a thing about visible bra straps, on other people it looks fine but for some reason with me I can’t stand it – and this pattern reveals bra straps unless you don’t wear one, or you widen the straps.
I made this cami out of some black viscose from The Fabric Room, which has such a nice handle and drapes really well. I know I’ll be making a ton more of these in so many different colours and patterns, it’s easy to layer or wear alone with a pair of jeans.
