June 2020 Sewing Plans

I’ve had so many ideas swimming around in my head recently on what I want to make, but I’ve narrowed it down to these three items.

Open Back Top – The Bathurst Top

I’ve been seeing this top pattern all over Instagram and love this design so much! The Bathurst top by Stitch Witch patterns is an absolute summer essential with a gorgeous open back tie detail. The pattern has no zippers or buttons so it’s meant to be a quick and easy sew! I chose this pattern as I managed to cut it out of around 1 metre of fabric! So can’t wait to sew it up!

Shirred Crop Top

An off white shirred crop top literally screams summer wardrobe, and I’ve only got a black one! So I’ve decided I want to make an ivory, shirred crop top with some leftover linen fabric I have in my stash. I’m hoping to make a tie strap detail if I have enough fabric and might even try and block print the fabric! I don’t have a sewing pattern for this, so I will be self drafting this so we will see how this turns out!

Gathered Dress – The Indigo Dress

I have wanting to sew the Indigo dress for the longest timeee! So I’m going to make sure I make it up this month! The Indigo dress is a cult favourite by Tilly and The Buttons. The cute and stylish dress has no fastenings so it’s meant to be an easy make and perfect for beginners. I’m hoping to make this in a printed cotton fabric or a red viscose twill and maybe hack this dress with an added gathered ruffle at the bottom.
