Shirred Crop Top | DIY Reformation style & Sewing Tie Straps

I’m really into sewing tops at the moment, they always feel like such a quick win and are perfect for this sunny weather we’re having! As part of my June Sewing Plans, I decided I wanted to make another shirred crop top – I previously made a black one, and knew instantly I needed a lighter coloured one with a print! So I found some inspiration and decided to make my own DIY Floral Shirred Crop top that felt Reformation inspired with smocking detail and tie straps.

Self-drafted pattern

I used a self-drafted pattern for this make, and just cut out two rectangles that were my 1.5 x bust measurement long and 10″ high. I filmed a YouTube Tutorial showing you all how to make this too! I decided to use thicker shirring lines, and had a little bit of a wobble on the last line – but it turned out much better than I expected! I hope you all love this make as much as I do, and attempt to try shirring as well! It has such a lovely effect and feels so soft and perfect to wear for summer!
